Consumer guarantees
If you believe an item is faulty, you may have rights to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. The Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period may vary by product (or service) depending on the nature of the goods (or service), the price paid and any representations made about the goods (or service).
Where you believe an item is faulty, it may be necessary for us to send your goods to the manufacturer or their service agent for it to be assessed within a reasonable period of time. If there is a major failure with the item, you may choose a refund, exchange or repair. If the failure is minor, we will repair the item (or, at our discretion, we may replace the item) within a reasonable time.
Where an item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use, Oates Welding Services cannot provide a refund, exchange or repair.
Oates Welding Services will require satisfactory proof of purchase before providing a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

Damaged in transit
Please do not sign for the delivery of goods that are obviously damaged. If damage is only found upon unpacking, then please contact our sales team at info@oateswelding.com.au as soon as possible. Additional contact information can be found on your order confirmation email. We will then arrange for the goods to be collected and a refund or replacement item sent out to you. Alternatively, please take the items to the Oates Welding Services Store and we will be able to help you.
If you nominated to collect your item from the Oates Welding Services Store or to be delivered by a private courier, damages in transit are not accepted.

Incorrect item
If your order arrives and it’s not what you ordered, please contact our sales team at info@oateswelding.com.au

Faulty product
Please contact our sales team at info@oateswelding.com.au. We will need to assess whether the fault is a major or minor fault and will either arrange for the product to be repaired or replace. Some manufacturers require us to send fault items to them for assessment before we can give you a replacement.

Change of mind
Change of mind requests may be considered solely at the discretion of Oates Welding Services. Any change of mind requests must be made within 7 days of delivery. It is not guaranteed your request will be accepted and terms are subject to consideration.

Exchanges
If the item you ordered is not what you were wanting, Oates Welding Services will offer an exchange for items of equal or greater value. Any shipping costs associated with an exchange will need to be paid by you in full before processing. If the new item is of greater value, you will be required to pay the difference in full before the new item is sent. You will be required to return the original item in original packaging before the new item is sent. If the original item is not in an acceptable resale condition as determined by Oates Welding Services, the exchange may be declined. Any exchange requests must be made within 14 days of delivery. It is not guaranteed your request will be accepted and terms are subject to consideration.

Valid receipt
A copy of your online order confirmation email is required for any return. If returning your product to the Oates Welding Services Store, please ensure you take a copy with you.
